Add a Bali videographer to your shoot and hear the day back, not just see it

We film couples across Bali: proposals, engagements, couple sessions, pre-weddings and weddings. We live between Canggu and Ubud, so we drive to your location rather than flying in the night before and learning it in the dark. We work in English and Indonesian.

  • 5 days from your shoot to a finished film, 48 hours with express editing
  • 2 years of gallery hosting, included
  • 1+1 crew as standard, up to 5

Film comes attached to a photo session, not instead of one

We do not sell film on its own. It stacks onto a photography booking, which is deliberate rather than a policy quirk. One team plans one timeline, so the camera shooting motion already knows the couple session starts forty minutes before sunset and does not need telling twice on the day.

One team, one run sheet.

One photographer plans the stills, one videographer plans the motion, and both work from the same run sheet.

01 / Proposals

Bali proposal and engagement videography

An hour or two is usually right. We position ahead of the moment and stay out of sight until it lands, then film the phone calls that follow, which are often better than the proposal itself. Rates and coverage for the stills sit on our engagement page.

02 / Couples

Bali couple videography

Most couples book between two and four hours. Two is enough to settle in and change outfits once; four covers more ground and ends on the light. These are the shoots where people arrive most nervous and leave asking why they waited so long to book one. See what the photography side includes on our couple session page.

03 / Pre-wedding

Bali pre-wedding videography

Four hours is the length that works, because it holds golden hour without rushing the middle of the day. Couples flying in for a few days often pair this with a photo tour and treat both as one route across the island. Full detail on our pre-wedding page.

04 / Weddings

Bali wedding and elopement videography

Four hours covers an elopement properly, meaning the morning is inside it rather than starting cold at the ceremony. Eight takes a villa wedding from preparations to the first dance. Past 80 guests, or with both of you getting ready in separate rooms, a third operator stops being optional. Coverage and image counts are on our Bali wedding photography page.

Mehndi / Haldi / Pheras / Vidai

Indian wedding videographer in Bali

South Asian celebrations run across several days, and we film the mehndi and haldi as closely as the ceremony, because that is where families stop performing for the room. We ask the officiant beforehand where a camera may stand, record ceremony audio separately since dhol will bury a camera microphone, and position for the vidai before it starts, as it lasts ten minutes in poor light and never gets rerun.

01

Two exposure problems repeat at almost every one of these weddings. A mandap puts a canopy over your faces with open sky behind them, so a camera left to its own judgment exposes for the sky and turns you into silhouettes.

02

The pheras happen around fire in warm, smoky light where your faces are visible for only part of each round. Knowing which part comes from having sat through it.

03

Functions here often sit at different properties rather than one resort. If yours are spread out, tell us at booking and we build the drive times into the crew plan.

Rates

Bali videography rates, stacked on any photo package

Wedding days cost more than other sessions because photo and film need separate operators through the ceremony, longer audio setup, and roughly twice the edit.

The one-hour film is quoted as an estimate rather than a fixed deliverable. An hour rarely holds enough material to guarantee a length, so we say that now instead of apologizing for it later.

Multi-day weddings, full team of five

Celebrations that run across a blessing, a ceremony and a party on separate days are quoted as one package covering photography and film together.

  • One full day: US$3,135 (IDR 49.5M). 700+ images and a 5 to 7 minute film.
  • Two days: US$5,600 (IDR 88.5M). 700+ images and a film per day.
  • Three days: US$7,215 (IDR 114M). 700+ images and a film per day.

Add-ons

  • Drone: US$130 (IDR 2.25M)
  • Express film editing in 48 hours: US$255 (IDR 4.5M)

Travel across Bali is inside the price from four hours upward. Shorter sessions are planned inside one region for the same reason. Hair, makeup and gowns sit on a separate rate card so you pay only for what you use, and bridal hair and makeup takes around three hours rather than the one hour most run sheets allow. Rates are on our hair and makeup page.

Run sheet

How we shoot your day

  1. Before the date. Send us your run sheet as soon as one exists, even rough. We flag where the timing breaks before your planner locks it.
  2. The evening before. When the schedule allows, we drive to the location and stand where you will stand. Light moves through a cliff garden differently in October than in April.
  3. Preparations. We arrive before you do. Those minutes let us find the usable window and clear the ironing board out of frame.
  4. The ceremony or the moment. We work from the edges on fast primes. No flash, nobody walking the aisle behind you.
  5. Couple session. Forty minutes before sunset, protected in the run sheet. This is where the footage you replay comes from.
  6. Afterward. Speeches, first dance, or the walk back to the car, filmed once everyone has stopped noticing a camera.

We shoot Fujifilm X-H2 bodies with fast primes, a gimbal for movement, and a drone where it is legal and cleared. Kit stays small on purpose, because we move faster than we set up.

Four things that decide your film before we press record

Sunset barely moves here. Eight degrees south of the equator, sunset sits between roughly 5:50pm in June and 6:35pm in February, and dusk is gone about twenty-five minutes later. There is no long northern evening. This is the planning error we correct most often.

Distance costs daylight. Uluwatu to Ubud is two to three hours in the late afternoon, not the forty minutes your map app promises. Keep the ceremony and the portrait location inside one region.

Drone footage needs clearance. Venue permission is required, and flying is not legal near the airport corridor or above several temples. Confirm it at booking if aerials matter to you.

Rain is normal from November to March and a shower rarely runs a full hour. We watch the forecast the week before, hold covered alternatives for each part of the day, and talk the backup through with you in advance rather than during it. If it rains on the day, we wait until it passes or reschedule. If you'd rather not reschedule, your deposit is refunded in full.

Delivery

What you receive

Your finished film and edited gallery arrive within 5 days through a private online gallery link, hosted for two years. Color, exposure and audio are graded on delivery. RAW footage is not part of any package. If you fly out sooner, add 48-hour express editing at booking rather than after the shoot.

In their words

What couples told us afterward

"Our ceremony ran forty minutes behind and I quietly panicked about the sunset. Andi had already moved things in his head and told me before I had to ask. We still got the cliff light. He also warned us about the villa's outside vendor fee months earlier, which saved us a fight."Marijke Oostrum

"By the ceremony neither of us was thinking about anyone holding a camera. The gallery arrived when promised. The speeches footage made my mother cry, twice."Ingunn Bakkelund

"We added two hours of film to a proposal shoot, honestly as an afterthought. The reel went to my parents the same week. My father has now watched it more times than I have."Sethunya Modise

Frequently asked questions

Can we choose the music in our film?

Usually yes, but a commercial track cannot be cleared for public sharing, so a film built on one gets muted or blocked when you post it. Tell us at booking and we license something that survives Instagram.

How do you record the vows?

A lapel microphone on the groom or celebrant, a second recorder near the couple, and camera audio as backup. Wind on a cliff edge ruins more ceremony audio in Bali than anything else does.

Does the film have to run the same hours as the photography?

No. You can book eight hours of stills and two hours of film, and we place those two hours where they earn the most, usually the ceremony and the couple session.

How far ahead should we book?

Twelve months for a wedding in the dry season, April through October. July and August fill first, and Saturdays go before weekdays. Shorter sessions are often possible at a few weeks' notice.

What happens to the deposit if we move the date?

A 30% deposit holds your date and counts toward the total, with the balance paid right after the session. Cancel over 30 days out and it returns in full. Move the date and it transfers in full, provided we are free and the new date falls inside 12 months.

Do you film outside Bali?

Yes. Gili, Lombok, Labuan Bajo, Sumba and further when a shoot calls for it, quoted before you commit.

Can you film inside a temple?

Often, with the venue's agreement. Cover shoulders and legs, expect an entry fee per person, and expect limits on where a tripod or drone can go.

Ready to check your date

You have the rates for both session types, the film lengths, the delivery window and the deposit terms. Send us your date, location and the photo coverage you are considering, and we will tell you within a few hours whether your Bali videographer is free.
